July 4th Forecast Reminder

Since this weekend is an extended weekend due to the Independence Day holiday, we would like to remind you to submit your air quality forecasts in a timely manner through the weekend. These forecasts will be disseminated to various Weather Service Providers, which in turn will distribute them to local and national media outlets.

You can take advantage of the long-range forecast input capability of the forecast submittal function in AIRNow-Tech to enter your forecasts up to 5 days out and simply update them if necessary.

If the forecasting schedule poses a problem for your agency due to staff limitations over the weekend, please e-mail the DMC (AIRNowDMC@sonomatech.com) with your forecast AQI numbers or categories and we can enter the forecasts for you. There will be staff on duty at the DMC though the weekend to ensure that the mapping and forecast systems remain operational, so please let us know if we can assist you in any way.
